IronRock Insurance says it has been hit by a cyberattack, which fortunately did not affect normal business operations.

The company confirmed that the cyberattack took place on February 6 while noting that it had no material impact on the business operations.

IronRock, in a statement, further indicated that security experts were able to quickly contain the security breach and regain full control of the infrastructure within an hour of the breach being detected.

IronRock says that based on its assessment the impact of the security breach was limited to information that is four years old and that its core operating systems were not compromised.

According to the company, “our robust IT Infrastructure has ensured that we have not had any interruption in services”, reiterating its commitment to maintaining the highest levels of digital security and “taking proactive steps to further strengthen our systems.”

The company has already notified its clients, the authorities and the regulators, in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
