Attorney-at-law Isat Buchana has been selected as the next candidate to represent the People’s National Party (PNP) in East Portland for the upcoming general election.

The PNP made the announcement in a media release on Tuesday, October 1.

“I am honoured to represent the people of East Portland. I am grateful for the opportunity to meet the needs of the people. Together, we will build a brighter future, ensuring that every voice is heard and every dream is realised. I see you, I hear you, I am you. Impossible is nothing! “Mr Buchanan has made significant contributions to community service and advocacy, establishing strong connections with the people of East Portland. He has set his sights on initiatives such as improving education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for residents. He envisions a constituency that prioritises collaboration, growth, and empowerment for all,” the PNP said.

It further noted that residents have expressed widespread support for Buchanan’s candidacy, praising his deep understanding of their needs and his readiness to champion their future.

Buchanan replaces Colin Bell, the previous candidate for East Portland. With this confirmation, the PNP now has a total of 63 candidates ahead of the general election.
