Crystal Palace ended a nine-game Premier League winless streak thanks to Ismaila Sarr’s second-half strike, edging past Brighton 1-0 at the Amex Stadium.

The match had been drifting toward a goalless draw until Sarr collected a pass from substitute Evann Guessand and calmly lifted the ball over goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, turning Palace’s first shot on target into the decisive goal.

The first half offered little action, with Brighton’s Maxim de Cuyper and captain Lewis Dunk providing the only notable threats, while Palace struggled to create clear chances.

The breakthrough came just after the hour mark, giving Sarr his 10th goal of the season across all competitions. Brighton’s teenage forward Charalampos Kostoulas was denied by Dean Henderson shortly after, but Palace held on for the win, leaving the hosts still searching for their first league victory since early January.
