This was no stuffy auction at J. Wray& Nephew’s corporate offices in New Kingston on Thursday night (November 30).

The JWN Foundation hosted a fabulous evening with the one and only Emprezz Golding as master of ceremonies keeping the vibes right and getting guests  to reach into their wallets and purses for a good cause. I’m still kicking myself for losing out on those airline tickets to Proven’s Chris Williams. What a shopping trip that could have been! Chris upped the ante and it was all for a good cause.

Still, I scooped a month’s training at Fitness Express which kicks off my New Year’s resolutions. I‘ll have to stick with it, mind you!

Of note that night was the unveiling of the “ Rare Reserve” a connoisseur’s collectable rum. 

The Rare Reserve is no ordinary spirit; it is a testament to the rich traditions of the 17th century when rum was bottled at its barrel strength. This unique single barrel 24-year-old rum boasts an impressive 77.9 per cent ABV, making it a truly rare and cherished find.

Uncorking this bottle  opens with layers of spicy fruit and indulgent butterscotch, embraces your palate in warm apple notes, tantalizes it with a minty citrus zing, and climaxes with a rich, velvety vanilla finish.

Going once, going twice…perhaps one day you will savour Rare Reserve!
