Tito Jackson, a member of the legendary Jackson 5, has died at the age of 70.

Former Jackson family manager Steve Manning reported that Tito passed away from what appears to be a heart attack while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma on Sunday.

Tito’s sons Taj, Taryll and TJ confirmed their father’s death via social media.

“Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their wellbeing,” they said. “Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as ‘Coach Tito’ or some know him as ‘Poppa T’…he will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us. Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another.’ We love you Pops.”

Tito Jackson, born Toriano Adaryll Jackson on October 15, 1953, in Gary, Indiana, was the third of 10 children born to Katherine and Joe Jackson. His early talents as a singer and guitarist caught the eye of his father, Joe, who formed the Jackson Brothers in 1964, initially featuring Tito, Jackie, and Jermaine.

Jackson was slated to perform at Hard Rock with the Jackson 5, featuring Billy Ocean, and The Pointer Sisters on October 25. The following would have been a the Cincinnati Ballroom on November 1.

His fans have been leaving their condolences on his social media platforms.
