

Reggae artiste Jah Cure was arrested and charged on Saturday (October 2) in the Netherlands for allegedly stabbing promoter Nicardo Blake in Amsterdam.
Reports are that the 42-year-old singer, allegedly attacked Blake who goes by the name ‘Papa’ stabbing him in the abdomen.
Cure, whose real name is Siccature Alcock was subsequently arrested and charged with assault and wounding.
It is unclear if the reggae star remains in police custody.
Blake, who confirmed the alleged attack, was admitted to a hospital, where he underwent surgery.
He is expected to make a full recovery.
Blake later filed a police report pressing charges against the ‘Unconditional Love’ singer.
There’s no word yet on the circumstances that caused the dispute between the two which ultimately led to the alleged stabbing.
Blake is the founder of Roots Vibes Entertainment based in the Netherlands, where the company specialises in music production, artist management, tour management and event management.
The company is said to play a crucial role in producing and promoting reggae, dancehall and afrobeat music in Amsterdam.
For the past 15 years, Roots Vibes has worked with international artists such as; Sizzla Kalonji, Morgan Heritage, Gyptian, Konsens, Buju Banton, Serani, Vybz Kartel, and Beenie Man with Jah Cure being the most recent artiste on their roster.
Jah Cure was in Amsterdam for a live performance at the Melkweg venue, the show was promoted by Roots Vibes Entertainment.
The show was one of many with the Grammy-nominated artiste set to make his way around Europe on a three-month long tour. The tour began in early August, with Cure already making stops in Barcelona, Spain and Belgium.
