Jahmiel excited about dropping new ‘Safe Haven’ EP on October 10

Dancehall recording artiste Jahmiel will be dropping his new EP called ‘Safe Haven‘ on October 10, which is a project he has recently been giving his all, with strictly girls songs and dedicated to the ladies”.

Jahmiel disclosed this information with Our Today during an interview following his performance at Kingston Creative’s Artwalk Festival Fashion and Food event on Sunday (September 28).

Safe Haven‘ will be produced by Jahmiel in partnership with the trusted Shakespeare, whom he said he has a “great chemistry with”.

“We’ve been doing some work for a few years now, and the fans are loving the chemistry, so you can look forward to ‘Safe Haven‘,” Jahmiel, whose real name is Jamiel Foster, said.

When asked why he decided to work on this mini-EP, he said, “You done know when you talk bout di ladies dem, dem love so, just look forward to some great hit girls songs”.

After hitting the stage, he was well-received at the free concert by fans who gathered, and were singing along with him and his yester-year hit singles such as ‘True Colours‘, ‘Tell Me‘, ‘Strongest Soldier‘, which he was surprised the supporters of the Kingston Creative Art Walk Festival were still in tune with, and sang along word for word.

“It’s been five, six [and] eight years ago, and di people dem still a sing word fi word like a yesterday it drop, so I mean, it’s definitely a great feeling,” Jahmiel told Our Today.

“Mi give thanks fi Jamaica still a support me,” he said.

He said he supports the extraordinary work Kingston Creative is doing because they are for the people, and he is likewise for the people.

“Kingston Creative is a non-profit organisation which helps local creatives, so anything for the people, Jahmiel is willing to be a part of that, so this combination goes hand-in-hand,” he said.
