In its annual release of the ‘Top Beaches In The Caribbean’, Tripadvisor has listed Jamaica’s Seven Mile Beach among the 25 that made the cut for 2022.

The world renowned, jasmine-scented beach, which boasts silky white sands and clear turquoise waters, took the 13th spot on the American online travel company’s list.

Skyrocketing to popularity over the years, the Seven Mile Beach, located in Negril, is said to have once been ruled by unruly pirates. These days, however, you will surely find locals and tourists alike soaking up the sun and enjoying the seven-mile stretch of white sand beach.

Given that the island does not experience significant high tides, the beachfront is nearly levelled with the gently lapping waters, allowing for a seamless entry from sand to sea.

Also on Tripadvisor’s Caribbean list is The US Virgin Islands, which had the most frequent appearances, with five of its beaches listed. The Virgin Islands’ Trunk Bay Beach, Maho Bay Beach, Magens Beach, Lindqvist Beach and the Honeymoon Beach placed fourth, fifth, sixth, 18th and 23rd respectively.

Both Aruba and the Dominican Republic (DR) secured three spots among the 25. Aruba’s Eagle, Baby and Arashi beaches took numbers 3, 14 and 23 respectively, while DR took the seventh, 11th and 25th spot with Bavaro, Playa Publica Dominicus and Maco Beach respectively.

Islands including Cuba, Guadeloupe, Curcaco, Turks and Caicos, St Maarten each took two spots on the list.

Other beaches featured include Barbados’ Carlise Bay and Bahamas’ Coco Plum which placed ninth and 12th place respectively.
