The inaugural Jamaica Dragon Boat Festival got underway last Saturday (May 31) and was well attended.
It was a beautiful day, and the boats looked majestic with 11 teams participating.
Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica Chen Daojiang, Custos of Kingston Steadman Fuller and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamina Johnson Smith were present and wished the teams all the very best.
The races looked great over the glistening azure sea and started off from the Excelsior Hotel, Port Royal.
Today (June 1) sees the semi-final and finals take place as the two-day Jamaica Dragon Boat Festival comes to an end.
