A night that promised a culinary and mixology experience like no other beckoned eager foodies and culinary enthusiasts to the Jamaica Food and Drink Kitchen for the much-anticipated return of the “Off The Menu” epicurean series.

Building on the success of last year’s collaboration with top restaurants, the Kitchen has once again tapped into the culinary talents of Kingston’s most renowned chefs and a partnership with the Diageo brand for an exclusive series of cooking and cocktail experiences.

The series kicked off on Thursday, August 22 with a flavour-packed evening led by ROK Hotel Kingston’s Executive Chef, Volae Williams, at the helm. Guests indulged in a culinary masterclass, preparing jerk pork tenderloin paired with yam and potato parmesan ragout, sautéed spinach, and merlot reduction.

The culinary journey didn’t stop there. A decadent dessert trio — including a ginger chocolate mousse, mixed berry panna cotta, and drunken pear wedges — left guests in awe. To complement the feast, Gordon’s Premium Pink Gin was expertly mixed by mixologist Brian Broderick, who also guided guests in crafting their own signature cocktails to sip with their meals.

As the evening drew to a close, attendees departed with satisfied palates and smiles, already anticipating the next instalment of the “Off The Menu” series on Thursday, August 29.
