The Jamaica Food & Drink Festival (JFDF) has announced that National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited and NCB Capital Markets Limited are its new financial and banking partner for the eighth staging of the event in 2022.

The announcement was made on October 19 during JFDF’s pre-event, ‘Sneak Taste’, held at the Jamaica Food & Drink Kitchen in Liguanea, St Andrew.

Nasma Mohammed-Chin, festival director, JFDF, is extremely excited that the financial group has offered its support to an initiative she has spearheaded over the past eight years, and chose to invest with the hope of witnessing its growth and increased contribution to the development of Jamaica’s gastronomy.

“Food and cooking are a huge part of our culture, and this festival puts something on the plate for everyone – whether they’re just a foodie at heart, a small business or an entrepreneur chef.”

“We’re very excited to announce that NCB is our partner this year, and we are looking forward to an amazing festival with them by our side,” Mohammed-Chin said, before glasses were raised for a toast by patrons at the Sneak Taste event.

Sheree Martin, head of retail banking and customer experience at National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited, said: “We’re always looking for opportunities to create memorable experiences for our customers, and that’s exactly what JFDF does. Food and cooking are a huge part of our culture, and this festival puts something on the plate for everyone – whether they’re just a foodie at heart, a small business or an entrepreneur chef.”

Tracy-Ann Spence, chief operations officer at NCB Capital Markets Limited, also added: “Just like the finest culinary pairings out there, NCB and the Jamaica Food and Drink Festival together promises a delightful experience for all involved. We simply had to get a seat at the table for NCB Capital Markets Limited and NCB’s Private Banking Unit, especially since we get to give our customers an exclusive opportunity to partake in Jamaica’s premier culinary experience. We’re very excited about all that’s on the menu for this year.”

Spence continued: “We applaud the organisers of JFDF for curating such a remarkable experience over the years. The constant innovation and willingness to push the limits of creativity make this event a staple on the national calendar, and we’re very excited about the opportunities that this partnership presents.”

JFDF will take place between October 26 and 30, with Pork Palooza at Hope Gardens, Vintage at Devon House, Crisp at Festival Market, Picante at Hope Gardens and Brunch at a private venue.
