Jamaica’s women cricketers have made it three wins from as many outings, moving four points clear at the top of the 2024 CWI Women T20 Blaze points table.

After three rounds, CG United Super50 Cup champions Jamaica are top of the table with 13 points followed by Trinidad & Tobago (9), Leeward Islands (9), Guyana (4), Barbados (4) and Windward Islands (0).

Earlier this week, the national female cricketers turned back Barbados securing a six-wicket win over at Warner Park, St. Kitts. 

Jamaica routed Barbados to a paltry 67-all-out in which only NaiJanni Cumberbatch (25) and Aaliyah Alleyne (16) were the only two Bajan batters to reach double-figures. 

This came off 17.3 overs as Barbados won the toss and elected to bat first. Chinelle Henry did the bulk of the damage with the ball for Jamaicans bagging 4-9 from 3.3 overs while captain Stafanie Taylor took 2-9 from three overs. 

Jamaica then needed only 11.4 overs to reach 69-4 and secure their third win in as many games. Rashada Williams top scored with 21 while Taylor made 15. 

In the other games on Friday (March 22) Trinidad pulled off a narrow two-wicket win over the Windward Islands while the Leeward Islands successfully defended a meagre 104 to defeat Guyana by four runs.
