Jamaica sees increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations

Six hundred and forty eight persons are hospitalized for COVID-19 in Jamaica.

Hospitalizations rose by ten when compared to information contained in the clinical summary for Friday (September 24).

According to the latest data by the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) 43 persons are described as critically ill.

In addition, the island recorded 10 new COVID-19 deaths.

The deaths occurred from September 18 to 24, 2021.

To date Jamaica has 429 active cases of the virus and 82,778 overall.
