Jamaican table tennis standouts Azizi Johnson and Gianna Lewis have arrived in Santo Domingo, where they are set to compete in the singles competition at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games, which conclude on August 8, 2026.

Both athletes secured qualification in April, earning their places among the region’s top competitors and the opportunity to compete on one of the Caribbean and Central America’s premier sporting stages. Their participation continues Jamaica’s proud tradition of representation at major regional events and highlights the strength of the nation’s table tennis programme.

As competition gets underway, Johnson and Lewis will face some of the region’s best players while proudly carrying Jamaica’s colours in Santo Domingo.

Aubyn Henry, CEO of AUBYN Sports Management and chief strategy and development officer of the JTTA underscored the value of international competition and the opportunity it provides for Jamaican athletes.

“The Central American and Caribbean Games remain one of the region’s most important sporting events, bringing together outstanding athletes from across the Caribbean and Central America. Ingrid Graham, President of the Jamaica Table Tennis Association, said the athletes’ qualification reflects the standard required to compete successfully at the regional level.
