Jamaica Tallawahs ink two-year Parimatch sponsorship deal

Cyprus-based sports betting company, Parimatch, has announced a two-year title sponsorship with Jamaica Tallawahs for the annual Caribbean Premier League (CPL) cricket tournament.

Under the sponsorship deal, Parimatch branding will be displayed throughout CPL matches where the Tallawahs play in the 2023 season as the representative franchise team of Jamaica.

The opening match will have host St Lucia Kings taking on defending champions Jamaica Tallawahs at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia. 

In making the announcement, Parimatch says as a world brand, it stands for perfection and consistency, noting that “this makes for a great opportunity to collaborate with Jamaica Tallawahs – a team which is known to perform its best always.”

Making reference to the team, a Parimatch company spokesman declared, “the team is in great shape and we wish them the very best in the upcoming league.” The Jamaica Tallawahs recently confirmed their Caribbean player retention ahead of the 2023 CPL, which Republic Bank being the title sponsor.

The tournament starts on August 16 with the finals taking place on September 24. The matches will be held in Barbados, Guyana, St Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago.

Speaking on this new sponsorship deal, a Parimatch spokesperson declared, “we are glad to announce our sponsorship with Jamaica Tallawahs. The team is in great shape and we wish them the very best in the upcoming league.”

For his part, Tallawahs CEO Jeff Miller remarked, “Jamaica Tallawahs welcome our new title sponsor Parimatch to family and CPL. We are excited to have Parimatch brand on our team kits.”He added, ”the Parimatch sponsorship is going to add renewed vigour and enthusiasm to the team just as the players are preparing for the League matches.”
