Jamaica Tourist Hotel Association remembers founding JUTA member Glen Bromfield

The Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA) mourns the passing of Glen Bromfield, a pioneering figure in Jamaica’s tourism industry and a founding member of the Jamaica Union of Travellers Association (JUTA). 

Bromfield, also the owner of Medallion Hall Hotel in St Andrew, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy that has significantly impacted Jamaica’s tourism landscape.

Bromfield was known for his commitment to the industry, with a career that spanned over five decades. His contribution to tourism, particularly through the establishment of JUTA, helped shape the transportation sector, providing safe, reliable, and organized services for both local and international travellers. 

His dedication to enhancing the tourism experience led him in 2022, to be recognized by the Jamaica Tourist Board for over 50 years of outstanding service to the industry
