Lawyer and six-time Jamaican Davis Cup player Brandon Burke has been re-elected to the WTA Tour Board of Directors as Player Alternate Representative for a fourth consecutive two-year term, which will begin in September. 

In this role, Burke will continue to work closely with fellow player board members to engage with singles and doubles players, ensuring their perspectives are represented and their interests advanced at both Board and management levels.

Burke also serves on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Tennis Benefit Association and sits on the Board of the WTA Foundation, the Tour’s philanthropic arm focused on advancing equality, education, leadership, and health and wellness worldwide.

Reflecting on his re-election, Burke said: “When I first stepped into this role six years ago, I was one of the youngest player representatives. I came in eager to listen, learn, and represent players as best I could. Over time, I’ve learned that effective representation starts with listening—building trust, staying open, and consistently showing up for players.

As I begin another term this September, I’m proud of the relationships and trust built with players, which I never take for granted. I bring the same energy and fresh perspective as when I started, now strengthened by experience and a deeper understanding of how to advocate effectively.

I’m incredibly honoured to be re-elected and excited to continue working with players to help drive progress and move professional women’s tennis forward.”
