Fire + Ice won first place in the Best Food at the Fair competition at the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo for their Jamaican jerk chicken.

According to a report from dailyinterlake.com, Fire + Ice beat out 21 other contenders to take the blue ribbon.

Chairman of the Flathead County Fair Board Doug Wise, Flathead County Sheriff, Brian Heino and community member, Courtenay Sprunger served as the judges and spent several hours sampling entrees, desserts, beverages and more.

“Judging the entries was a lot harder than I thought it would be,” Wise said.

Other winners in this year’s competition were:

Second Place: Farm to Table Ice Cream, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip with Sea Salt Caramel Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich

Third Place: Chick-fil-A, Frosted Peach Lemonade

The Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo continues through Sunday, August 21 at the Flathead County Fairgrounds.
