Jamaica’s growing influence in global diplomacy and leadership development will be on full display this May when distinguished Jamaican professionals take the international stage at the 5th Annual World Protocol Matters Conference 2026 in Budapest, Hungary.

Among the featured presenters is Robert C. Scott, Chief Operating Officer of Lifespan Co. Ltd., TEDx speaker, and Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Latvia in Jamaica, who will deliver a presentation titled:

“The New Gravitas: Executive Presence as a Strategic Protocol Tool for 21st-Century Diplomacy”

Scott’s presentation comes on the heels of the successful launch of his book, Developing Gravitas and Boosting Your Executive Presence, an Amazon #1 Best Seller, #1 New Release, and International Best Seller, which forms the foundation of his research into leadership influence, cultural intelligence, and modern diplomatic engagement.

A respected international speaker, Scott has previously presented at two other International Centre for Protocol and Diplomacy (ICPD) conferences, further cementing his position as a leading Caribbean voice in the evolving field of protocol and soft power. His work reframes protocol as a strategic tool for trust-building, reputation management, and global influence rather than mere ceremonial practice.

Also representing Jamaica at the conference is Kimberley Morgan, a distinguished Government Relations and Diplomatic Protocol Advisor with over 14 years of experience in high-level international affairs. Morgan will present on the topic: “Soft Power: Is this the New Super Power?”

Her career includes serving as a key liaison between the Government of Jamaica and foreign missions, advising executive leadership within U.S. government agencies, and managing high-profile diplomatic visits, including those of three U.S. Secretaries of State.

The World Protocol Matters Conference is widely regarded as one of the premier global gatherings for protocol professionals, diplomats, policymakers, and thought leaders. The 2026 staging is particularly significant, as it represents one of the first conferences of its kind to integrate high-level diplomatic discourse, academic research, and practical global engagement into a unified platform—bringing together experts from across continents to explore the future of protocol in an increasingly complex world.

This year’s conference features an impressive lineup of international presenters, including former heads of state, ambassadors, global academics, and senior protocol officers, addressing themes such as Protocol 4.0, soft power diplomacy, digital transformation, and global governance.

For Jamaica, the participation of Scott and Morgan underscores the country’s expanding role in shaping global conversations around diplomacy, leadership, and influence. Their presence signals not only individual achievement but also the Caribbean’s growing intellectual and strategic contribution to international affairs.

As global dynamics continue to evolve, Jamaican voices are increasingly being sought—not just for participation, but for leadership.
