A Jamaican citizen, aged 50, has been declared missing in Sint Maarten, prompting the local police to issue a public plea for any information related to his whereabouts.
In a post on its social media account, the Sint-Maarten Police Force said that the Jamaican, Jereth Dave Thomas, who resided at Richards Drive 5, in Middle Region on St Maarten, has been missing since January 3.
Thomas is five feet nine inches tall, with a thin frame and a dark brown complexion. It is uncertain what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
“We urge anyone who may have seen J.D. Thomas since January 4, 2024, or who has information about his current whereabouts, to contact the Sint-Maarten Police Force immediately. Your assistance could be vital in helping us locate him and ensure his well-being,” the police wrote in its post.

The 50-year-old was reported missing by a concerned family member, who filed the report on January 6.
An appeal was also made for Thomas to make contact with his family members or the police if he becomes aware of the police report, to notify them of his safety and well-being.
