Jamaican music producer Jahvel “Jahvy Ambassador” Morrison is in police custody following a Sunday night shooting at the “Big Wall” post Carnival party that left three people injured, including popular vlogger Jaii Frais.

According to police reports, the incident began around 9:30 p.m. Investigators say Richards reported that shortly after arriving at the event with his girlfriend, he was confronted while leaving a restroom and struck in the face by Morrison, someone he knows. The situation quickly spiralled, with Richards claiming he was then set upon by a group of about 15 men.

Amid the chaos, one of the attackers allegedly pulled a firearm and pointed it at him. Richards told police he managed to wrestle the weapon away. He further alleged that Morrison then drew a gun and fired in his direction while the assault was still underway. Richards reportedly returned fire before escaping.

After getting away, Richards sought help from a police officer at the venue and handed over the firearm. It was only moments later that he realised he had been shot in the lower back. He was rushed to the University Hospital of the West Indies, where he remains under police guard while receiving treatment.

Two other men were also injured during the incident. Jeremy Watson, believed to have been a bystander, and Trevor Twaite, who is linked to the entertainment group “450.” Twaite remains in critical condition and is undergoing surgery.

Police confirmed that a Glock nine-millimetre pistol was recovered from Morrison, while a second firearm was handed over by Richards. Investigations are continuing as authorities work to determine exactly how the confrontation escalated into gunfire.
