World-renowned DJ and producer Thomas ‘Diplo’ Pentz has showcased his connection with Jamaica through his 50-acre estate named Pompey, in Portland.

Diplo, who has been frequenting Jamaica for nearly two decades to record music and perform, speaks of the island with reverence.

“I owe a lot of my success to this place,” he says, attributing the ambient sounds of birds, dancehall music, wind, and waves to the inspiration behind many of his hits.

“That’s what Jamaica is, beautiful, peaceful but also crazy and electric,” he added.
