A Jamaican man, Rajiiv Isree, was sentenced to six and a half years in prison in the United States for distributing child pornography.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin, the 32-year-old, who resides in Baraboo, Wisconsin, is likely to be deported after his release from prison. However, if he is not, he will be placed under 10 years of supervised release.
Reports are that Isree allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl, filmed the assault, and sent her the video. The girl reported the incident to the police. Upon investigation, law enforcers found additional videos of Isree engaged in sexual activity with the minor on his phone.
He pleaded guilty to the charge on August 7. He was sentenced on November 21.
Chief U.S. District Judge James D. Peterson, while delivering his ruling, said the defendant took advantage of a vulnerable girl when he engaged in sexual conduct with her and that videoing the conduct amplified the harm to the victim.
