Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson are among a list of 10 nominees for 2022 World Female Athlete of the Year.
The athletes were selected by an international panel of athletics experts, with representatives from six continental areas of World Athletics and the announcement made today (October 12).
Fraser-Pryce won the award in 2013 but this is Jackson’s first-ever nomination.
“It has been another memorable year for the sport and the nominations reflect some of the standout performances,” said World Athletics.
Fraser-Pryce is the reigning World 100m champion, claiming a fifth gold medal in the event.

She is also the 100m Diamond League champion with a world lead of 10.62 and seven sub-10.70 100m races for the season.
Jackson has dominated the 200m, reigning as the 200m world and Diamond League champion. She ran a world-leading 21.45 this year, to become the second fastest 200m runner ever.
The World Athletics Council and the World Athletics family will cast their votes by email, while fans can vote online via the World Athletics social media platforms @World Athletics.
Individual graphics for each nominee will be posted on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube this week; a ‘like’ on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube or a retweet on Twitter will count as one vote.
Voting ends at midnight on October 31, after which five females will be announced as finalists.
The winners will be revealed on World Athletics’ social media platforms in early December.
