The Jamaica Productivity Centre (JPC) has launched their 2023 Productivity Innovation Competition and invites Jamaicans residing in the country to submit entries.

This year, the competition is being held under the theme ‘Paving Productivity Pathways for a Prosperous Nation.’

The JPC says that the competition promotes, encourages, and rewards the development of transformative ideas that can boost sustainable productivity improvement.

Entrants must submit an idea on how to improve productivity at either the personal, firm or national level. Ideas should be applicable to the Jamaican context.

The deadline to enter the competition is May 7. To enter, complete the submission form at the link below:

In addition to the competition, the JPC is taking submissions for the ‘2023 Productivity Innovator of the Year’ for Jamaican businesses and organisations.

The organsation wants to learn about innovations implemented by locally registered businesses or organisations to improve productivity.

Submissions can take the form of a four-minute video or an essay less than 500 words.

The deadline for submissions is also on May 7 and people may submit to the link below:

The JPC is the national organisation responsible for promoting and facilitating productivity improvement in Jamaica. They are a tripartite organisation comprising the Jamaican government, the Jamaica Employers’ Federation (JEF) and the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions (JCTU).

Their partnership reinforces the principles that growth in the national economy can best be achieved with the alliance and full cooperation of government, employers and workers.
