Israel’s response to Hamas’ atrocities committed on October 7, has been to seek and wipe out those who shed blood and took Israeli hostages.

The constant bombings has seen the death toll in Palestine go up to 10,000 as Isreal prepares for a ground invasion.

Nearly 4,000 children have lost their lives as a result of the relentless bombing. Israel argues that Hamas is using civilians as human shields and that collateral damage is inevitable.

The Jamaican Government has thrown its support behind Israel and maintains the country has the right to defend itself.

Many Jamaicans are not happy with the carnage wrought on Palestine and the images of death, destruction and rising plumes of black smoke that now characterise the Palestinian skyline.

Yesterday evening (November 4), a protest organised by the Left Alliance for National Democracy and Socialism (LANDS) began at Rae Town and progressed along the downtown Kingston waterfront, where Jamaicans expressed concerns about Israel’s ruthless methods to dislodge Hamas.

Many of those who attended the demonstration were of Palestinian and Lebanese decent.
