
Jamaica’s All-School team will bow into action at the Caribbean Americas Soccer Association (CASA) Youth Classic in Florida at 8:30 tonight when they play Tekkerz at the Lauderhill Sports Park.
The All-School team will then play ESP on Saturday for a spot in the final on Sunday. The six-team tournament also comprises Plantation, Rush and CASA All Stars.
The Jamaican team left the island on Thursday, headed by ISSA President Keith Wellington. The team consists of Linvern Wright, Orrett Wallace, Ewan Scott, coaches Keon Broderick and Omar Wedderburn and kinesiologists Drucel Tomlinson.
The 20-player squad consist of seven players from daCosta Cup champion St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) in Johnoi Steadman, Dantay Hewitt, Deandre Barnett, Jade Lynch, Justin McPherson, Kahieem Lewis and Shemmar Stewart.
All-island champions Excelsior High has five picks in Jamari Gordon, Damarley Williams, Kivann Salmon, Kimarley Scott and Aldeano Walters.
Jamaica College will be represented by three players in Jabari Howell, Dujoni Thompson and Dontae Logan (JC) while Glenmuir High has two in Dusting Cohen and Conroy Nicely.
Anthony Reid (Clarendon College), Kadean Young (St Catherine High) and Santana Headley (Eltham) complete the squad.
