St Catherine High’s Kadean Young scored twice as Jamaica’s All-School team beat Tekkerz Cobras 4-0 in their opening game at the Caribbean Americas Soccer Association (CASA) Youth Classic in Lauderhill Sports Park, Florida, on Friday night.

Young opened the scoring in the 8th and put the icing in the cake in the 76th minute. Manning Cup MVP Kimarly Scott of Excelsior High netted in the 50th minute, while daCosta Cup MVP Kaieem Lewis of STETHS scored in the 62nd minute.

Young opened the scoring with a screamer before cutting in from the left and unleashed a powerful low drive that sailed past the goalkeeper.

Jamaica are the defending champion and will face a Spanish Under-19 team (ESP) in the next game today, hunting a spot in Sunday’s final.

The four-day showcase comprises players between the ages of 15 and 20, all of whom are competing with one clear objective: exposure, development and the pursuit of college scholarship opportunities under the watchful eyes of scouts and college recruiters.
