Jamaica’s business elites held a strategic breakfast meeting to explore connections at upcoming 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference.
The meeting was convened by CEO of Jamaica National Group and Chair of the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference, Earl Jarrett with Jamaican business leaders exploring partnership and sponsorship opportunities ahead of the conference’s staging in June 2026.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Kamina Johnson Smith, and State Minister of State, Alando Terrelonge, who leads Diaspora Affairs, joined the power breakfast meeting, sharing the Government’s vision for diaspora engagement and highlighting the work already being guided by the National Diaspora Policy.

The Conference, which is being organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, is scheduled for June 14–18, 2026, at the Montego Bay Convention Centre and will bring together members of the Jamaican diaspora and local stakeholders to advance collaboration, investment, and national development priorities.
Companies in attendance expressed their interest in exploring how best they might support the initiative and contribute to the successful staging of the Conference, which is one of the Government’s flagship platforms for engagement with Jamaicans overseas.
The primary focused areas for the conference will surround key discussions, including investment, technology, agriculture, health, education, the orange economy, and security. The conference aims to foster investment and partnership between Jamaica and its global diaspora, particularly following recent climate challenges
