CAPRI unveils its findings today

The Caribbean Policy Research Institute (CAPRI) has interrogated Jamaica’s growthless jobs phenomenon in its latest academic study.

The study provides a possible explanation for why Jamaica’s recent employment growth has not resulted in commensurate increases in gross domestic product.

The study, titled ‘Growthless Jobs: The Paradox of Rising Employment and Stagnant Output,’ and its findings will be unveiled at 9:00 pm when the document will have an online launch and panel discussion.

Lead Researcher Ronaldo Blake will deliver a presentation that investigates the nature of the jobs created, and explore possible explanations for the unrealised economic growth and falling productivity.
