The upward trajectory of Jamaica’s Miss Universe, Miqueal-Symone Williams, continues on Sunday (May 16) as the 24-year-old model breaks through to the top 10 contestants.

Miqueal-Symone’s incredible run found a second gear, with a confident strut in the swimsuit round. Later, she is expected to stun the audience in the evening gown showcase.

The 69th grand coronation show, being held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, seeks to crown the first Miss Universe since South Africa’s Zozibini Tunzi in 2019.

The global pageant was cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The competition saw three other Caribbean contestants joining Jamaica make it through to the top 21 semi-finalists, namely Curaçao, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

Next up for Williams is an anticipated berth in the top five for the live question and answer segment.
