Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz could qualify for the FIFA World Cup tonight if they beat Trinidad and Tobago and Curacao loses to Bermuda in their CONCACAF World Cup qualification games.
Jamaica, which leads Group B with nine points from four games, play away to fierce Caribbean rivals Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) on five points at the Hasely Crawford Stadium at 7:00 pm Jamaican time.
Simultaneously, second-placed Curacao on eight points, play away to the pointless Bermuda also starting at 7:00 pm.
Jamaica is on the verge of securing its spot in the World Cup and could do so if it defeats Trinidad and Tobago, and Curaçao falls to Bermuda.
The Soca Warriors must win to keep their hopes alive, while Curaçao needs at least a point to stay in the hunt for first place, in the event Jamaica wins.

Jamaica will enter tonight’s match confident following the 2-0 win over T&T on September 9 in Kingston, but not too comfortable, as T&T did get the ball into the back of the net three times but was ruled out based on infringements.
Reggae Boyz head coach said he expects a tough encounter and sees today’s game as a must-win for Jamaica.
“We have come across Trinidad and Tobago many times now, and they are improving every game and getting better. They were very unlucky twice against Curacao, so we know this will not be “easy and we will have to fight to win,” said McClaren.

“Trinidad and Tobago, very good with the ball, very powerful with players that can change the game and make something from nothing, so we need to defend well. If we don’t defend well, we run the risk of losing,” he noted. “It will be a cat and mouse, an intriguing game, we have come a long way, 18 months we have been together now, and World Cup qualification is in our hands.”
