Jamaica’s Under-17 Reggae Girls recorded their second win of the CONCACAF Women’s Championship, thumping St Vincent and the Grenadines 5-0 at the Stadion Guillermo Prospero Trinidad on Thursday.

An own-goal by St Vincent’s Nailah Kydd opened the floodgates in the 38th minute before Jaya Lecky doubled the lead in minute 43. Malayna Caromaya Johnson-Mighty netted in the 54th minute.

Jamaica scored two goals in two minutes, courtesy of Kalila Daley in the 68th and Shennel Walters in the 69th, to put the gloss on a good performance.

The young Reggae Girlz jumped to the top of Group D with seven points from three games, just ahead of Honduras with six points from two games. Guyana are third on four points with both Aruba and St Vincent and the Grenadines pointless.

Jamaica will meet Honduras next Tuesday in what will be the group winner.

Only the group winners will advance to the final round of 12 teams, of which four teams will qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Morocco in October.
