The Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) has unveiled a groundbreaking online platform, the Jamaica Business Gateway, aimed at providing companies with the necessary information and resources to effectively engage in business activities with the government.
The launch event took place at the AC Hotel by Marriott on Wednesday (May 17) with JAMPRO President, Shullette Cox, expressing immense pride and excitement for this transformative initiative.

She stated, “Today, I stand before you with so much pride and excitement as we launch the Jamaica Business Gateway, an online portal that will revolutionize the way businesses apply for and track various permits, licenses, and approvals from the government.”
“The Gateway [will] give businesses the ability to find step-by-step information on various government processes as well as to complete applications online from the comfort of their own office or homes,” she continued.
President Cox also highlighted that the platform’s launch marks the beginning of a comprehensive journey toward integrating all of the government’s business services into a single online space. Acknowledging the ever-changing needs of businesses in the fast-paced digital era, she stressed the importance of the government keeping pace to meet those needs effectively.
To develop the Jamaica Business Gateway, JAMPRO collaborated with four private-sector entities over the past two years.
