The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) celebrated the festive season with its annual Carol Service on Thursday, December 12, at the Police Officers’ Club in Kingston.

The event brought together officers and community members in a heart-warming evening of music,
reflection, and unity under the theme, Let’s Celebrate His Birth.

The service was led by Pastor Dr Gary Buddoo-Fletcher, the JCF Chaplain, whose inspiring message set a reflective tone for the evening. His words, drawn from the gospel, were complemented by a scripture reading from Luke 2:4-14, delivered by Corporal Junior Thompson, the 2024 LASCO Chairman’s Awardee.

The JCF Choir, accompanied by the JCF Band, delivered stirring renditions of cherished Christmas carols, including Joy to the World and Hallelujah Amen. Their performances filled the air with joy and fostered a sense of togetherness, with attendees tapping their toes and swaying to the music.

Adding to the evening’s charm was Kamelia Isaacs, the 2024 Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Festival Song winner. Her angelic voice uplifted the spirits of attendees, reinforcing the shared joy and meaning of the Christmas season.

Beyond the festive atmosphere, the service served as a poignant reminder of the JCF’s core values of integrity, respect, and service. It highlighted the Force’s commitment to its communities, even amidst the demands of policing. The event celebrated the shared faith, love, and compassion that bind members of the JCF together as a family.

As the evening drew to a close, attendees were left with a clear message: Christmas is a time for reflection, unity, and celebrating the light of the Lord in our lives and land. The JCF’s annual Carol Service was a fitting tribute to the season, inspiring hope and connection in the hearts of all present.
