The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has executed large-scale targeted operations in the Central Clarendon area, aimed at dismantling criminal networks, disrupting gang activity, and identifying key violence influencers within the space.

The operation was commanded by Deputy Superintendent Anton Cardoza on Tuesday, August 5 and executed by a joint team comprising:

• The Divisional Intelligence Unit (DIU)
• The Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB)
• The Quick Response Team
• The Canine Division
• The Area Fugitive Apprehension Team
• The Operational Support Team (OST)
• The Specialised Operations and
• The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF)

“Approximately 120 officers were deployed across multiple points in high-risk communities. The teams conducted searches, surveillance, snap raids, spot checks, and area domination exercises to locate wanted individuals, seize illegal weapons, and suppress gang-related violence,” the police said.

Drone technology was utilised to enhance aerial surveillance and monitor movement in real-time, providing valuable intelligence support and increasing the efficiency of ground operations.

The JCF also said this initiative reflects the Clarendon Division’s ongoing commitment to crime reduction and public safety, reinforcing the message that criminality will not be tolerated in any form.
