The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is mourning the sudden loss of one of its officers, Sergeant Patrick Brown, who died in a traffic collision along the Winston Jones Highway on Sunday afternoon.
Sergeant Brown, attached to the Manchester Division Operations Support Team, was travelling with his twin children at the time of the crash. He was taken to the Mandeville Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His children remain in hospital under medical care.
In a statement, the JCF High Command expressed deep sadness at the sergeant’s passing and extended condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.
“In this difficult moment, the thoughts and prayers of the entire JCF family are with Sergeant Brown’s loved ones, colleagues, and friends,” the force said.
To provide immediate support, the Chaplaincy Services Branch, the Welfare Division, and the Police Federation have been mobilised to assist the family and affected colleagues.
The JCF described Sergeant Brown as a valued member of the constabulary whose loss will be deeply felt across the organisation.
