The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has expressed regret over the death of Tishawn Brown, a trainee constable who collapsed during a routine training exercise.
Brown was training at the National Police College of Jamaica yesterday (February 15) in Twickenham Park St Catherine.
In a release today (February 16) the JCF stated that the constable in training was “participating in activity when he encountered challenges. First Aid was rendered and he was assisted to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead”.
It is reported that Brown suffered an asthma attack during training.
The JCF also stated in its release that the High Command, Welfare Department, Chaplaincy and Medical Services Branch have been offering support to the immediate family members and the staff at the National Police College of Jamaica.
