After 15 years of distinguished service to its board of directors, including six years as chair, Jeffrey Hall will be retiring from the board of Scotia Group Jamaica Limited (SGJL), effective December 9, 2022.

During his tenure on the Board, Scotia Group noted that Hall brought significant insight and expertise to the role while providing the management team guidance and support as the bank navigated the changing economic environment locally.

“He was instrumental in promoting a strong corporate governance and risk culture throughout the Bank and was an advocate for the Bank’s role in supporting its customers and communities, especially during the last two years as the country faced the challenging effects of the global pandemic,” the Group said.

“Scotiabank is an extraordinary institution which has contributed much over its 133-year history to the development of the Jamaican economy and the lives of millions of individual customers.”
