Jennifer Hudson is in the spotlight once again, and, this time around, daytime TV talk show is the reason.
The recent EGOT winner made the announcement via Twitter, noting that the eponymous talk show’s air-date coincides with her birthday (September 12).
“I can’t believe I get to say this, but welcome to my show !!! Let’s light up daytime beginning September 12th ! Wait a minute, that’s my birthday !!!” Hudson tweeted.
The Jennifer Hudson Show, which will premiere on FOX, according to the 2004 American Idol winner, will give her an opportunity to show audiences who she is as a person beyond her many talents and accolades.

Following the news, former daytime TV talk show host Steve Harvey chimed in, welcoming the star to the club.
Believing she would be a great fit for the role, Harvey noted that her years of personal experience would help her better relate to guests.
“I like Jennifer Hudson. I think especially at her space now, with all she knows now … she’s been a celebrity. She’s a mom. She’s been in relationships.
You’ve gotta have all of that stuff under your belt because when you’re talking to guests, you’ve gotta be able to relate. So I think Jennifer Hudson would be great.”

Although believing in her abilities, Harvey went on to say that daytime TV is not an easy job.
“It’s hard. Daytime TV is hard now,” he stressed. “It’s really hard.”
The self-titled daytime TV talk show comes on the heels of the singer’s newfound status as an EGOT winner.
Winning a Tony Award for her work as a co-producer for ‘A Strange Loop’ – which won the prize for best musical last Sunday (June 12), JHUD is the 17th person, the youngest female and second black woman in history, joining Whoopi Goldberg, to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award.
