The Jamaica Environment Trust (JET) will on Saturday (April 23) host a beach cleanup at the Palisadoes Go-Kart Track in celebration of Earth Day 2022.

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection.

It was first celebrated in 1970 and now includes events in more than 193 countries.

Said the JET: “The theme for Earth Day 2022 is ‘Invest In Our Planet’ and it involves everyone doing their part – governments, industry, and individuals – to ensure a greener future for everyone.”
