Kim Mair, Chief Executive Officer of the JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation, has been honoured by the Rotary Club of St Andrew North for Outstanding Philanthropic Leadership and Service to National Development, in recognition of her lifelong commitment to people-centred development and community empowerment across Jamaica.

The honour was conferred at a Rotary meeting held on Monday, January 19, 2026, celebrating Mair’s exemplary leadership, integrity and unwavering dedication to philanthropy, guided by the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.

Mair has spent decades working at the intersection of business services, social development and philanthropy, bringing strategic oversight, ethical leadership and deep compassion to every role she has held. Through her stewardship at the JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation, she has played a central role in shaping and advancing philanthropic programmes that address Jamaica’s critical national priorities, including education, health, entrepreneurship and community development.

Under her leadership, the Foundation has strengthened its focus on long-term, sustainable impact, ensuring that resources are deployed responsibly, transparently and in ways that empower individuals and communities to thrive.

Beyond her institutional role, Mair is also widely recognised for her personal commitment to service. A committed philanthropist in her own right, she consistently gives her time, expertise and personal resources in support of charitable and community-based initiatives, believing that leadership carries a responsibility to uplift others and create pathways for opportunity.

In accepting the award, Mair expressed deep gratitude for the recognition. “I am truly humbled and honoured to receive this award from the Rotary Club of St. Andrew North,” she said. “Service has always been at the heart of my personal and professional journey, and I firmly believe that meaningful development happens when we place people—particularly the most vulnerable—at the centre of our efforts. This recognition is a reminder that when we work together with purpose, compassion and integrity, we can create lasting, positive change for our country.”

The citation also acknowledged Mair’s role in fostering cross-sector partnerships, strengthening collaboration between the private sector, civil society and community organisations, and reinforcing the importance of corporate citizenship and shared responsibility in Jamaica’s nation-building process.

Mair is widely respected for her professionalism, collaborative spirit and principled leadership, qualities that have defined her career and strengthened the impact of the organisations she serves. Her work continues to reflect a deep personal belief in empowerment, accountability and service as cornerstones of sustainable national development.

This recognition by the Rotary Club of St Andrew North stands as a testament to Mair’s enduring legacy of leadership, generosity and service, and her continued commitment to helping build a stronger, more inclusive Jamaica.
