Jamaica National (JN) Bank has issued a warning to its customers, urging them to be vigilant following the circulation of a series of fraudulent emails.

In a statement to customers, JN Bank stated that the deceptive emails are being sent by criminals in an attempt to solicit personal information.

“We are aware that cybercriminals have manipulated a genuine email issued by JN Bank to garner information from our members, to include account numbers and other credentials, as well as personal information,” said the statement from the bank.

The bank reminded customers that it would never ask customers to share personal information through email and urged citizens to make a report to the police or the bank’s member care centre, if they have received the email.

Customers are also urged to avoid clicking on suspicious links and to be cautious with attachments.

Reading Time: 2 minutesPrime Minister Andrew Holness says the government’s New Social Housing Programme (NSHP) is setting a new benchmark for how housing can be delivered in Jamaica, demonstrating that homes for vulnerable Jamaicans can be structurally sound, thoughtfully designed, and aesthetically pleasing, while contributing positively to the wider community.

Speaking at the handover of newly constructed multi-family units along Brooks Level Road in Stony Hill on January 30, 2026, the prime minister explained that the programme is designed not only to provide housing for persons who cannot access mortgages or formal housing, but also to serve as a practical example of how residential development should take place.
