The Jamaica Public Service Company’s (JPS’) impact on the way businesses power their operations shone through at Expo Jamaica 2025, as the company partnered with the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) as the Expo’s official Energy Partner.

Held at the National Arena from April 3–6, Expo Jamaica 2025 attracted participation from over 200 businesses and provided the ideal platform to highlight how JPS’ innovative offerings and customised energy solutions have been unlocking potential for numerous businesses.

Winsome Callum, JPS Director of Corporate Communications shared: “Our mission is to provide industries of all sizes with energy solutions that are reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable. That’s why it’s so rewarding to see many of the businesses we serve showcasing their innovations and successes here at Expo Jamaica 2025.”

“We’re incredibly proud to be part of the success of Expo Jamaica 2025, and equally thrilled to partner with the JMEA as the official Energy Partner,” added Reshima Kelly Williams, JPS Brand Marketing Manager.

Energy Solutions For Businesses and Communities

As Jamaica’s main energy provider, JPS has worked with companies across agriculture, transportation, education, housing, and energy to optimise their performance and improve efficiency. Dionne Nugent, Director of Business Development at JPS, shared, “We’re dedicated to helping businesses cut energy costs and become more efficient through tailored energy solutions, such as distributed generation, and combined heat and power systems.

Where needed, we also provide line extensions and infrastructure build-outs to support seamless operations.  One of our most impactful projects is a 10-megawatt combined heat and power plant developed in partnership with CB Group at Hill Run, St. Catherine. Not only does it reduce emissions from CB’s operations by 30% but it further bolsters the reliability of energy supply for communities in the surrounding areas.”

Future-Focused Energy Solutions

JPS also used the opportunity at Expo Jamaica to connect with business owners and operators seeking to modernise their operations through the electrification of transportation.

The company’s Charge ‘n Go electric vehicle charging network continues to grow rapidly across the island, reinforcing JPS’s commitment to future-ready infrastructure.

“Our Charge ‘n Go network is designed to meet the needs of both private users and businesses that are transitioning their fleets to electric,” Nugent further explained. “With more than 39 charging points across the island and more to come, we’re expanding access, reducing range anxiety, and making it easier for businesses to lower fuel and maintenance costs while achieving their sustainability targets.”

Electric vehicles represent a critical step in reducing Jamaica’s carbon footprint, and JPS is helping to pave the way with reliable, accessible infrastructure. Whether it’s integrating charging stations into commercial hubs or providing energy solutions for EV fleets, the company sets out to support every step of that transition.

Through its presence at Expo Jamaica 2025, JPS reinforced its strategic focus on customised business energy solutions that align with Jamaica’s broader energy goals. The company continues to work closely with partners across sectors to deliver tailored offerings that support resilience, innovation and long-term growth.
