The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has been voted ‘Tourist Board of the Year’ by Canadian travel advisors at the fourth TravelPulse Canada 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards. Almost 300 travel community representatives gathered in Toronto on Thursday (May 18) to celebrate the country’s top industry suppliers.
Destination Jamaica has now been named ‘Tourist Board of the Year’ for four consecutive years at the prestigious competition. The JTB was also voted ‘Best Tourist Board Caribbean/Mexico’ and earned the coveted ‘Favourite Honeymoon Destination’.
“We are honoured and elated to be recognised as the top tourism board and favourite honeymoon destination among Canadian travel advisors,” said Angella Bennett, regional director for Canada at the JTB. “The TravelPulse Canada Readers’ Choice Awards is a true celebration of the best in the business. The fact that Jamaica has earned the coveted ‘Best Tourism Board’ award four years in a row is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of the JTB sales team and the support and respect we have earned among our valued retail agent community.”
The JTB offers a wide variety of engagement initiatives for Canadian travel advisors throughout the year, including in-person destination updates, FAM trips, monthly contests, professional development workshops, and the Jamaica Travel Specialist incentive programme.

Thousands of agents cast their votes at this year’s TravelPulse Canada Readers’ Choice Awards in more than 30 unique categories to select their favourite major airlines, travel groups, vacation providers, travel trade suppliers, agents, social media influencers and more.
Hosted at the Steam Whistle Brewery event space in downtown Toronto, the award gala featured dinner, dancing and a mesmerising magic show by Ontario illusionist Nick Wallace. The ceremony was also broadcast online with hundreds of travel professionals tuning in to watch the live stream from across the country.
