Juici Patties cooks up new meaning to ‘owning a piece of Jamrock’ as US franchise expands

As demand for Juici Patties baked delights grows, the concept of ‘owning a piece of Jamaica’ has taken on new meaning for the company.

Here in Jamaica, Juici Patties has added two new restaurants with the recent openings of one on Winston Jones Highway in Mandeville and another at Boot Service Station in Drax Hall, St Ann. Yet, the brand’s popularity in the United States has resulted in the exponential growth of outlets stateside.

So great is the demand for Juici Patties that applications to open the Jamaican fast-food restaurant have significantly increased; more people want to own a piece of Jamaica, in a Juici Patties franchise, in the US. Still, the company’s approval rate for franchise applications has fallen below one per cent.

According to the company, this decline reflects “both the brand’s soaring popularity and its discerning approach to growth”.

As thousands of franchise applicants solicit the opportunity to open stores in the US, Juici Patties America has implemented a rigorous evaluation process to ensure every franchisee reflects the brand’s core values: cultural authenticity, operational excellence, and a passion for community impact. The aim is to have a franchise network deliberately built for the long-term, not just short-term expansion, the company says.

Presently, Juici Patties USA operates nine high-performing US locations. In the meantime, there are 49 more stores in active development, covering key markets in metropolitan cities with Jamaican diaspora-rich communities.
