The Juici Patties restaurant in Davie, Florida, on S State Rd 7 presents a more considered interpretation of the traditional drive-through. Instead of functioning solely as a point of transaction, the space has been shaped as an experience to be observed and absorbed.

A work of art created by the franchise owners Shienne Holman and Danhi Ricchiuti.

As customers move along the lane, they encounter distinct elements of Jamaica, conveyed with authenticity and maintaining cultural recognition.

The drive-through begins with a truly Jamaican-inspired marketplace, featuring zinc structures, fretwork-style buildings, handcarts and palm trees. Stalls display produce such as coconuts, tomatoes, and jackfruit, creating a setting that mirrors everyday life in Jamaica. The scale of the artwork allows the space to feel immersive while remaining grounded in familiar details.

Further along, the visuals transition into music and landscape. Speaker boxes and turntables, highlighted in red, gold and green, reference Jamaica’s reggae culture, while a bamboo rafting scene introduces a quieter moment, showing the island’s natural environment and sports depicting bobsled, cricket, football, racing and more. Together, these elements present a balanced view of Jamaican life, community, expression and landscape.

The location is owned by franchise partners Shienne Holman and Danhi Ricchiuti, who are part of a wider group of entrepreneurs contributing to the brand’s expansion in the United States.

Shienne shared that while many people see the finished product, her focus has always been on the journey behind it.

“When people see a successful franchise, they often see the end result, which includes the storefront, the branding, the polished images. But what I see and have experienced is our journey, one preserved in hard work and faith.”

As a mother, she explained that building the business required constant balance and determination. The experience shaped how challenges were approached, turning obstacles into lessons and reinforcing the importance of resilience over time.

Shienne also emphasised the role of family in the early stages and noting that support and belief were critical long before the franchise became a reality. With this vision, it eventually grew into an operating location.

That perspective continues to guide the business today.

Juici Patties, founded by Jukie Chin in Jamaica, has maintained its emphasis on authentic recipes as it expands internationally. At the Davie location, all flavours on the menu are well-loved. The spicy beef patty wrapped in its flaky crust, flanked by cocoa bread, is currently the most popular item.

As more locations open across the United States, the brand continues to strengthen its presence
by combining Jamaican flavours with its likkle but Talawa culture.
