Juici Patties says it plans to open 40 more franchise locations in Florida, USA by summer next year.

Speaking with Our Today, Director of Juici Patties Daniel Chin shared plans for further expansion of the popular Jamaican pastry enterprise into the US market.

He explained that he believes heavily in the measuring three times and cutting once philosophy, which is why the company spent seven years planning how it would execute its expansion before opening its first franchise on March 21.

“The decision to launch our first franchise in Florida is not random,” said Chin. “We used a data-driven approach and found that there is a high demand for our patties in the US, especially in Florida.”

Juici’s Hollywood location is currently bringing in approximately US$15,000 per day in revenue.

He added: “Over the past two years, we’ve received over 5000 applications for franchises in Florida and because we’re very selective, 27 have been selected and onboarded so far with the most recent one being selected this week.”

Responding to questions about product quality and customer service, Chin explained that the company has always strongly emphasised customer service and has strict guidelines to maintain the standard in the US.

To become a potential franchisee, applicants are required to display “a great attitude” along with a minimum of US$125,000 in liquid capital. Restaurant management experience is also considered a plus.

Franchisees receive advice on ideal location selections, design for building out restaurants, initial team training and ongoing support through a step-by-step guide on operating the franchise via a Juici Patties app.

The company targets opening at least five locations in Florida by the end of summer this year, with the next location opening set for Lauderhill later this month.
