Emerging recording artiste Juni-Muzyc is making his introduction to the music scene with his debut single, Love Can’t Control, a vibrant and uplifting release centred on faith, gratitude, and the unwavering love of God.
The song blends Caribbean energy with an inspirational message, encouraging listeners to reflect on God’s grace and the strength found through faith.
For Juni-Muzyc—whose given name is Michael Thomas—Love Can’t Control was born from a personal moment of reflection and appreciation.
“Love Can’t Control came from a time when I was reflecting on my blessings and everything God has done for me. It’s about God’s love, joy, and grace overflowing in my life. Even when I make mistakes, He still loves me and gives me strength,” he said.
The track was produced by Dannareo Fearon, CEO of DF Entertainment, marking a significant collaboration in Juni-Muzyc’s musical journey. The partnership developed naturally, as the two share a close bond beyond music.
“Dannareo is a brother to me, so reaching out to him felt natural. After writing the song, I knew there was so much more that was needed musically, and I trusted that with his experience, creative touch, and body of work, he could bring the vision to life,” Juni-Muzyc said.
The collaboration also became a major step in his career, eventually leading to Juni-Muzyc signing with DF Entertainment, where he is currently managed by Fearon.
Working alongside Fearon allowed the song’s full potential to come together. Juni-Muzyc described the experience as a blessing, highlighting the producer’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
“He believes in excellence, which is something I share as well. I already had a body of work and ideas, and he was able to take what I had, utilise it, and reconstruct it in a whole different way that fit what the song needed,” he said.
One of the key additions to the record came through the inclusion of saxophone, after Fearon recognised that the track needed another layer.
“There was even one instance where he felt the song was missing something, and he said, ‘Juni, it’s missing the sax. Just wait and be patient, trust me,’” he recalled.
That vision was completed with saxophone contributions from Daniel E. Richards and Richie Sax, adding another dimension to the final sound.
As an artiste entering the industry, Juni-Muzyc believes his creativity, writing style, and ability to connect through his lyrics are what help separate him from others.
“I think my creativity is one of the things that helps captivate listeners, but I would say my style of writing and the words I use are my biggest assets. I try to make my music relatable, faith-based, and still true to the Bible while being versatile at the same time,” he explained.
His sound reflects his Jamaican roots and diverse musical influences, combining gospel, reggae, dancehall, conscious reggae, and inspirational music. Growing up in Jamaica, being involved in church, playing instruments, and being surrounded by Caribbean sounds all contributed to shaping his musical identity.
“Conscious reggae and dancehall influence how I approach the rhythm, melody, delivery, and energy of a song, while my faith, real-life experiences, and scripture shape the message,” he explained.
When asked about dream collaborations, Juni-Muzyc highlighted his admiration for fellow Caribbean gospel artiste Samuel Medas, noting the creative connection he believes they could create together.
“I feel like we would bounce ideas off each other well creatively. His sound is close to the direction I desire to go in while still building my own sound, and I really admire how his hooks and choruses always carry a strong message and stand out,” he said.
Through Love Can’t Control, Juni-Muzyc hopes listeners experience joy, hope, and encouragement while remembering the power of God’s love and grace.
“We all make mistakes, but God still forgives, strengthens, and guides us. I want people to feel free, uplifted, and closer to God after hearing the song,” the recording artiste said.
Looking ahead, Juni-Muzyc has ambitious plans for his musical journey. Over the next three to five years, he hopes to continue developing as a gospel artiste and musician, release a debut album, collaborate with other artistes, perform on bigger stages, and continue sharing messages of faith while remaining grounded.
Following the release of Love Can’t Control, supporters can expect more music, visuals, and live performances as he continues to grow creatively and spiritually.
“I just want to keep making music that people can enjoy while still carrying a strong message and staying true to God,” Juni-Muzyc said.
