The 2024 Paris Olympic Games is around the corner and, the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt’s self-produced Olympic anthem ‘Jamaica All The Way‘ has attracted varied reactions across social media.

A review

For me, the multi-talented track star Usain Bolt’s production is just ‘okay’.

Nothing to really write home about and hardly a rhythm I would recognise if not labelled.

I am sure there is some amount of passion behind the work when the all-star athlete finds himself creating a beat. I would even venture to say he loves it, and is very connected to his art. But the beats feel like they were found in a free stock audio listing…they have no soul. They feel generic.

It also occurred to me that this may be a hobby for the track legend. Bolt may simply like to play around with beat creation, and who can stop him?

Absolutely nobody.

That being said, I appreciate the message, especially with one of dancehall’s best artistes, Busy Signal, and the talented Shaneil Muir breathing good vibes and energy into the track. The song, sans the rhythm, is good—and as a patriot, I will die on this hill.

I will be singing it at the top of my lungs every time I hear it, especially during the Olympics.

Maybe it’s just me since fans also seem to love the track. A month after the music video’s release it has amassed 144,000 views.
